ChargedAs just set up 2 phone charging stations in the outpatients and waiting area at Kenepuru Hospital, Porirua, and 2 more at Hutt Hospital’s Emergency Department and The Hub Cafe, Lower Hutt — adding to the fleet in hospitals across NZ.

Our charging stations alleviate stress as patients and visitors can stay connected during their visit, enhancing their overall experience during what is often a very anxious time for many visitors to hospitals and medical centres.

It costs users less than the cost of a cuppa to charge their phones in our stations and we share revenue with health care providers as part of our “support local” program, so it’s a win-win for everyone.

The charging stations increase staff productivity as health care workers don’t have to deal with charging requests, and the lockers provide a safe and secure environment for phone charging.

A knock-on benefit is a reduction in uncontrolled use of sockets, which can cause health and safety risks.
