Keeping more NZ regions connected with Volty Powerbanks

We’re rolling out more Volty Powerbank stations across Aotearoa New Zealand to help keep Kiwis connected and their phones charged as.

These power banks are already well established in regions across the North and South Islands and have thousands of users and scores of station venues. Now, ChargedAs has just set up in Northland and the Coromandel Peninsula.

On the Coromandel Peninsula, you’ll find Volty Powerbank stations at Whangamata Sports Bar and Grill, the Coroglen Tavern, the Coromandel Hotel (The Top Pub) and the Star & Garter Hotel (Coromandel town). In Whitianga, we set up Volty stations at Grace O’Malley’s Irish Inn, Smitty’s Sports Bar & Grill, Stoked Bar & Restaurant and the Whitianga Hotel Bar.

Our nationwide rollout is expanding to more places soon due to popular demand.

“Support local” program

ChargedAs shares revenue with clients and charges nothing to set up and maintain Volty stations as part of our “support local” program.

We know times are tough for a lot of people, so we keep prices low to reflect this. You get one hour’s free charge when you sign up, and prices start from only $2.50 an hour after that.
You won’t get stung if your charging ticks into a second hour either. After the first hour, you will be charged in half hour increments of only $1.25 each — and prices are capped at $10 a day.
After four days, you can keep the Volty if you like for only $40.
