Power Banks for Businesses, Venues and Customers

Portable phone charging for organisations and customers across New Zealand. Host a Volty station on revenue share at your venue, buy your own, hire power banks for high-demand locations and events, or rent a power bank when you're out and about.

For organisations & venues

Volty power banks keep customers moving

Unlike fixed charging lockers, portable power banks stay with customers while they shop, dine, work, travel or move around an event. ChargedAs offers three ways to provide them: a revenue-share station, an outright purchase, or high-capacity hire.

Revenue Share, Volty Power Bank Stations

We supply and manage stations at no cost to you

Give customers convenient portable charging while your venue earns a share of every power bank rental.

ChargedAs supplies, installs and manages the Volty station, including ongoing servicing and support. Your venue simply provides the power it uses.

Purchase a station

Buy an 8-slot Volty Power Bank Station and operate your own portable charging service. It is a popular option for libraries and other organisations that want full control of the service.

High-capacity hire

Grab N Go cabinets hold up to 72 power banks for large events and high-volume locations. For smaller events and venues, we can provide multiple individual 8-slot stations instead.

The system can be configured as free-to-use in certain settings, with full maintenance and servicing available.

Why venues host Volty

Volty is a nationwide power-bank sharing network. Customers can pick up a power bank at your venue and return it to any other Volty location across New Zealand. For example, they could pick one up in Paihia and return it in Invercargill.

  • Stations supplied and managed at no cost to venue partners
  • Your venue shares in rental revenue
  • Partner venues appear on the Volty app map

For customers

Volty app rentals from just $3.50

Around the cost of a cuppa to get you charging on the go. Find nearby Volty power bank stations, rent a portable charger when you need one, and return it to any Volty location across New Zealand.

App-member pricing starts at $3.50 per hour and is capped at $15 per day. The first three minutes of every rental are free. If a Volty Power Bank is not returned within three days, the $45 replacement charge applies and the power bank becomes yours to keep.

How to use Volty

1. Find a station

Open the Volty app map to find a nearby venue and station.

2. Hire a power bank

Scan the QR code to release a Volty power bank. From your second app rental onwards, it is a single scan.

3. Charge on the go

Take the power bank with you while you shop, dine, work or travel. Three built-in charging cables support modern mobile phones and compatible devices, including vapes and earphones.

4. Return it anywhere

Slot it back into any Volty station on the map, not just the one you took it from.

No app? Tap N Go instead

At participating dual-function stations, tap your card, Apple Pay or Google Pay and the station releases a power bank after a $15 temporary pre-authorisation.

Tap N Go costs $5 per hour and is capped at $15 per day. If the power bank is not returned within three days, the $45 replacement charge applies and it becomes yours to keep.
