ChargedAs is rolling out “Volty app or tap” dual-function power bank stations across Aotearoa New Zealand.
We’ve had feedback that some people like to pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay to rent or buy Volty Powerbanks. Others love the Volty app.
So now we’re making it possible for our Volty stations to give people the choice of using their card, Google Pay, Apple Pay or the app!
How it works

For Volty Tap N Go card/Google/Apple Pay payment options, all you need to do is tap your card, wait for quick approval* and the Volty station will release the power bank and you’re good to go!
It costs the price of a cuppa to charge your phone in an hour — from $5.
There’s no surcharge when you use rent or buy a Volty.
App discount
Volty app users get a discount each time they rent a power bank from a Volty station as a thank-you for being a loyal member.
It costs Volty app members from only from $3.50 an hour to rent a power bank — way less than a price of a cuppa.
Once you’ve downloaded and set up the app from Google Play or Apple’s App Store, you’re good to go and all you need to do is point your phone to release the Volty.
Volty venue partners reap rewards
ChargedAs shares revenue with venue partners and provides Volty Powerbank stations for free to clients while keeping costs low for power bank users as part of our “support local” program.
Maintenance and technical management is also complimentary — it’s all part of the ChargedAs service.
The Volty service drives increased foot traffic and brings in-app exposure as we advertise where users can find their nearest Volty venue on an interactive map.
Organisations will get marketing exposure from our online sites, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube.
